People no longer use newspaper and television because the internet plays the same role as them. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Along with the rapid advancement of technology seen on current living standards, the essence of newspaper and television especially on providing news to the public is threatened by the internet. It is suggested that these kinds of mass media would just be redundant due to proliferation of higher technology. This essay completely agrees with this assertion for the following reasons.

First and foremost, the utilization of newspaper and television is not as exciting as phones or computers. It is undeniable that these gadgets may offer variety of features for entertainment or information. People can browse some pictures or watch some videos in order to completely understand information that they are looking for. The content newspaper may have could also be limited while the internet has a lot of choices. Although I understand that there might be some cases of fake news on the internet since censorship is not as strict as compared to the mass media, people could still verify the veracity of data they read on the internet by browsing other reliable website just the same.

   Moreover, it is concurred that the roles of TV and printed media is replaced by the internet due to space and price. In connection with space, television needs to occupy wider spaces including the setup of it at home. For small accommodation just like mine, acquiring TV would be too impractical since I already have a phone to watch news or movies. And as for the price, the latter is lesser with the usage of phones and computers. With just a touch of a button, the information we are looking for may appear on screen right away.

Taking everything into account, newspaper and television are becoming obsolete due to the advent of the internet. For some reasons, the use of the internet is more exciting and convenient in terms of space and cost.
